The Day when I became Vegetarian

I liked non-veg food a lot when I was young. May be because I didn’t know at that time what it actually was…. The favourite of my lot was Chicken Biryani. I use to cry just to have that. Unbeknown from the fact that it was made up of chickens by killing them. But I was so innocent and dumb that one day I really questioned mom “ Is this made from the real chickens?”. My mom acted smart and answered “ No, it’s not”. May be because she knew if she’s true I might stop eating that even. Many times mom use to take me to a pure-veg hotel and in disguise of non-veg she use to order Biryani with nutrella for me. I am glad for that!! I still thought mom was fooling me for the question I asked her brfore. I then asked once what’s the difference between the two chickens? she laughed and told me they aren’t any different. It may be because she thought I won’t stop eating it as I loved it when I didn’t know it. It was a day when we were going to my Nani’s place. Our rickshaw passed through a slaughter house and I was stunned by looking at the slaughtered goats. But my mom just tried to keep me cool by closing my eyes. Out of my innocence I asked whether the chickens too are slaughtered such? And was shocked to know the answer. Well I was very non-violent person and was a true animal lover, couldn’t even think of such things. It was from that very day I hated non-veg just because of the fact that innocent animals were the source. No offences to ones who eat non-veg. but I feel just remember as we can speak and express animals can’t!! I am glad for all vegetarians but truly no offences to non-vegetarians.

It started all well till the ninth shot when Hakkinen got a great shot. It went to the last shot which was a decider!! The pressure was on but the patriotism still was glittering in my mind. Deep within I felt Life’s a chance but wanted to make it a realistic fortune. It was possible only if I acted brave instead being let down in the country which is not ours.

In the silence I was able to hear the whole of India backing me, encouraging me to give that very shot which was long awaited. I knew that if there’s a chance then it’s now or it’s never!! It was matter of one shot which meant so much for the millions back at home more than it meant for me!! Before getting my hands on the trigger I was able to feel the calmness in the roar of India, the soothing feeling you get by looking at millions who were so happy, just for them I was able to smell the Success.

I had to hit a Bull’s Eye in order to bag 1^st individual Gold medal for India. The thought of me at the age of 7 gripped me when I had placed a bottle on my maid’s head. I was fortunate on both occasions to hit the target but that was the beginning and this was a new one!!

Some people call me crackerjack, some fool, some altruist n some cruel. But, still the one thing which is common between all of them is Humanism!! While making friends we never think which religion or strata the other person belong to. When it comes to creed, religions why the commonness diminishes… ?? Who are we to decide who’s who ?? Why different religions exist ??

The main motto behind this article was to notify the people who are being unholy and cruel with others just for mere command!! The ones who died or even injured heavily during the blasts in different countries never were against any religion or do u think they were ?? Some might think some were but what about those innocents who weren’t?? These terrorists think they are superlative in this world in everything but why are they so mediocre when it comes to thought and actions ?? Allah, Rahim, Jesus and other Indian Gods never defined such principles…. Then why are we?? Why don’t we think good socially instead of being selfish and for one’s good think ??

The meaning of God doesn’t change from religion to religion. It remains the same that is

“ Generator Operator Destroyer”. Then why the thought of being unholy and unfriendly increasing day-by-day ?? Some might not withstand things goin against them but they can think something out of it instead of harming others, some might be hurt,too, from deep within just because somebody betrayed but why are you stopping and smelling the old roses, there are new ones to blossom!! God never said for one’s right destroy other’s…. When one is in jeopardy why the serenity of mind fails to overpower the dirty consciousness ??.....
